Power Shut Down in a civilized society is a nightmare. Electrical power has transformed the life style of people in civilized societies. The per capita electrical power consumption of a country is an indication of the advancement in civilization. The demand for electrical power is rapidly increasing by the minute and not by the day. This ever increasing demand for electrical power has opened new vistas for Electrical and Electronic engineers. Developed and developing countries are exploring all possible ways and means of generating electrical power to meet this ever increasing demand. This eventually has lead to a large scale employment opportunity for Electrical Engineers. A fine blend of Electronics and Electrical concepts in this branch has resulted in producing electrical engineers with a wide range of acceptance in the employment arena.

Electrical and Electronic engineers can prove their mettle in large and medium scale industries as well as in the agriculture sector. With the ever increasing demand for domestic electrical appliances there is no dearth of employment opportunities for talented electrical engineers. In case of pursuing higher studies, electrical and electronic engineering graduates can seek admission in inter disciplinary branches like Electronics, Information Technology and Computer Science.

CDSE has a commitment for quality so as to create the right people for the right jobs. The institute has left no stone unturned while creating the right environment for students of this branch. The department is in charge of a very senior Professor having close to three decades of teaching experience. Using his vast experience, spacious and well-equipped Laboratories having the best equipment have been set up. Care has been taken to see that the laboratory facilities cater to the needs of the curriculum and the course content.
