It strives to create a comprehensive collection of books useful for the faculty and student community in the institute to assimilate technical knowledge effectively. It is also striving hard to nurture the very basic needs of the faculty and students who are focussed towards research activities.

About

Library being the heart of the institute is located on the Third and Fourth floors of the Central block in the Main building. Each floor has a carpet area of 810 Sq mts., with the total carpet area of the library summing up to 1620 Sq. mts. This section clarifies queries of readers specifically pertaining to circulation and about the library in general. Readers may approach the reference and issue counter for information or any assistance in using the library collections and services.

  • Journals Section: This section deals with activities related to subscription of print and on-line journals, their availability, display and enabling access to e-journals on the campus LAN. The institute has a subscription of nearly 1127 on-line journals. Access to a large collection of e-journals is made possible through membership of IEEE, DELNET and Science Direct.

  • Text Book and Book Bank Section: This book collection consists of text books prescribed in the courses of study or those recommended by faculty. Text books are either issued overnight or are made available only for reference. Students can borrow three books at a time from the text book section. The book bank section has multiple copies of selected text books, from which two books are made available to the students for an entire semester.
