It is one of the Six departments of our college, which has emerged into a very sophisticated section in a very small period of time. The major attraction of the department is its well-equipped units with high quality resources and facilities for the students and staff to utilize and at the same time gain and impart knowledge.
Salient Features:
- Well equipped laboratories comprising open-source software
- Total Computers in College: 709 ,600 PCs with I-3 /Core 2 Duo, 3 GHz Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB/500 GB HDD).
- The entire network rests on two servers (One LINUX and One Windows server)
- OFC and Wi-Fi Link between CDSM & CDSE.
- 10 MBPS Leased line from Airtel
Software Available:
- Open Source Softwares like Ubuntu, Fedora, Open SUSE.
- Latest softwares are available to enable the students to work on data analysis, web technologies and software designing like: IBM Rational Rose, IBM Rational Functional Tester, IBM DB2, IBM RAD, IBM TIVOLI Management software, IBM Rational Quality Manager, NCTUNS for Networking. Microsoft Dream Spark Premium MSDN Subscription, RHEL 6 enterprise server, Solid Works for ME Branch, CATIA V5 Discover for ME branch, UTLP Kit software for EC Branch, Place Mentor (English & Career lab software by Globarena for communication skills).

Student AchivementsAstha Jain of CS branch has obtained Chancellor's Scholarship from RGPV. Ms. Monica Pandey , Ms. Ramita Ajamani and Mr. Priyanshu Parmar, CS Branch has published paper on “Firewall as a portable embedded system” in International Journal of Computer Architecture and Mobility in Nov, 2012. Several students of CS department have participated in various sports competition like Basket Ball Nodal, Chess Nodal, Football , Badminton, Handball and win prizes in competition like chess nodal etc. |
Faculty AchievementsMr. Surendra Kumar Shukla won TWO Gold medals for his outstanding performance in M.Tech. awarded by DAVV. Two faculty members Ms. Rekha Saha, Mr. Surendra Shukla of CS department have been selected for Ph.D. Program of DAVV through Doctoral Entrance Test. Faculties are encouraged to attend and participate in various Workshops, Seminars and Expert Lectures. Many of them have published Papers at National and International level.
