CDSM Faculty Seminar Series
CDSM faculty seminar series is an ongoing activity throughout the academic year. These faculty seminars are being conducted to create research culture among the faculty members and also promoting writing and publications. These seminars help sharing empirical studies and also relating these studies with theory.
CDSM Management Journal [Énqueter]
CDSM is soon going to publish its Management Journal. The journal will have articles reflecting diversity, cross-functional nature of management and emerging concerns from the areas such as finance, accounting, marketing, operations management, human resource management, statistics, international business, information technology, environment, risk management, globalization and related areas.
CDSM Research Conference
CDSM organizes Research Conference, where in CDSM invites leading academic/ industry research experts to present papers on different management aspects. This exercise intends to motivate the faculty to actively participate in research activity involving the neighboring industrial sector. It also exposes the students for state-of-the-art management techniques.
Research Methodology Workshop:
Teaching and research are complimentary to each other in academic domain. A strong research base leads to a vibrant class room teaching. Continuously changing structure of management arena necessitates refined research methodologies to successfully bridge the gap between the industry and the institute. Chameli Devi School of Management, Indore has organized 3 days “Research Methodology Workshop”.
FOREX Workshop
CDSM took an initiative to create a platform and provide learning experience, enhancing the capabilities of academicians by conducting two days FOREX workshop on 21 and 22 March 2011. Knowledge imparted in this event was the importance of export/import, foreign exchange, trade and administration, FEMA1999, Letter of Credit, exports finance, exchange rate mechanism international logistics, port operation and shipping logistics.
CDSM Case Writing Workshops
CDSM organizes Case Writing Workshops for the faculty members where an eminent personality is invited from leading academic/ industry. He/She assists faculty members to prepare cases on different subject areas. These cases are then analyzed, discussed in distinctive way and with interactive layout. In this view CDSM has organised one case writing workshop during 1-3 May 2011.
Personality Development Sessions
CDSM understands the importance of a well groomed personality in today’s business world and for this does not leave any opportunity helping students for their overall personality development. CDSM regularly organizes such sessions to instill group discussion, interview and communication skills in them.
EVA “Extra Value Addition”
CDSM tries to explore the hidden qualities of its students though EVA. This activity provides students a platform where they can come forward and display their talents. Various competitions like Ad-Mad Show, Nukkad Natak, Singing, Extempore Speech, Quiz and many more events are organized under EVA banner.
Annual Social Gathering “Freude 2011”
FREUDE is an annual management fest organized by management students of Chameli Devi School of Management, Indore. The idea behind this management fest is to provide an excellent opportunity for the budding managers to acquire strategic, managerial and team management skills. It involves series of cultural, literary and sports activities viz De Cricket Match, Singing Competition, Debate Competition and Antakshari. Other activities are Mimicry and Mono-acting Competition, Role plays and Point-of-purchase material competition. Treasure Hunt and other Indoor Sports Activities like Chess, Table Tennis and Carrom are also organized.
Syllabus Review Workshop
CDSM hosted One Day workshop on 20 April 2011 under the regulation of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya, Indore. The agenda of the workshop was to prepare the framework for amendments in the syllabi of MBA (DAVV level) and BBA (state level) and allied courses.
